Summary: Great learning tool
Comment: This funny & entertaining video helps teach young kids to count. Each number has a catchy little song; the whole family enjoys it. My husband confessed to whistling these tunes while at work! This DVD has helped all my kids learn to count. Also, try Sesame Street's "Learning About Letters" for the alphabet.

Comment: It is ok dvd. But the style is bit old. I think the numbers are flashing too fast. If children watch for long time I guess it would not be so good for their eyes.

Summary: Very Very Happy with this Purchase!
Comment: We bought this DVD about two weeks ago and already my 20-month old daughter has counted to three a couple of times (with a little assistance, but that's still pretty awesome in my opinion). She was not counting at all before this. I've also heard her saying random numbers out of order without my prompting.

My daughter loves every character. I've read the bad reviews of Benny the Bunny, but I think it's been blown out of proportion. Sure he's surly, but so are people in real life. It also gave me a chance to explain to my daughter that people get crabby.

She's allowed half an hour of tv twice a day, and for the past two weeks she's been choosing this DVD every time.

Summary: better than "learning about numbers"
Comment: Our two-and-a-half year old really got into this, but didn't like "learning about numbers" at all, except for one little sequence that show 2 girls playing with a dollhouse. the two dvds are actually quite different: this one features elmo and ernie and feels very much geared toward children while "learning about numbers" actually seems like they were trying to entertain children and adults at the same time by adopting a mock talk show format where big bird is supposed to be some kind of jay leno standup. plus there is a lot of "The Count" in that LAN, and our toddler didn't like him at all! Much better choice, I think, for toddlers. Only weakness is that they give short shrift or even skip over certain numbers between 1-20. Some kind of brainless editing decision by somebody who didn't get enought sleep, no doubt.

Summary: Learn your numbers quickly while having fun!!
Comment: THIS IS MY FAVORITE KID'S VIDEO. We originally borrowed this from the library. We liked it so much, and I was so tired of having to return it after maxing out the renewals just to check it out again, that we decided to buy it. The kids (2 and almost 4 years old) ask for it all the time. I thought they'd be tired of it after a few months, but it still holds their interest. The songs are a great compliation of really great Sesame Street production numbers. We all sing along and, quite frankly, I can't get the songs for the numbers 3, 5, and 10 out of my head. The kids also like the bits with Ernie and Benny (don't call him bunny) between the songs which is usually when the kid's lose interest in this type of DVD.

Join Ernie at The Furry Arms Hotel for a musical lesson in just how useful counting can be. When Ernie finds and returns a misplaced key, he uses his knowledge of numbers to return the key to the correct guest. As Ernie begins to learn about the hotel business, he finds many common situations in which counting is essential.
