Comment: Even though It comes in a little pricey for me, this slice of classic TV is priceless. Some of the special features feel like an after thought maybe, but the episodes alone are worth the price of admission

Comment: I couldn't decide which seasons I wanted, so I bought the whole collection. My only complaint is that the dvd seems slow to respond when I click on my selections. Otherwise it's a great purchase.

Comment: Since the syndicated versions have all been edited to reduced length to
allow for more commercials, the only way to see the Twilight Zone episodes
as originally broadcast are with this series. In particular, two of the
best episodes ("Number Twelve Looks Just Like You" and "Walking Distance") have been horribly butchered in this process. In addition, the interviews with series staff and acting personnel (Buck Houghton, William Self, Douglas Heyes, Burgess Meredith, Anne Francis, Rod Taylor, and many more) are a real enhancement to understanding and enjoying the series. This is one of the very best compilation efforts of any collected series, and well worth the price (which is not high for a 28 DVD set).

Summary: Great writing in these parables from the 'atomic-age.'
Comment: I was always a fan of the series, but what I rememembered and what I've been watching are a little different. Ambitious, intelligent and atmospheric the heart of the series was fantastic writing that really comes through when you view a number of shows in succession. Set against a cold war back-drop in the shadow of the 'atomic-age' Twilight Zone has the feel of modern parable. Technically the discs are re-mastered and really show-off the carefully framed and atmospheric black and white cinematography and excellent direction. It's also interesting to see all the cameos from some unlikely stars. I love the packaging of this collection, and I love the dvd extras including original radio plays that some of the shows were based on. If you enjoyed the show, if you like 'atomic-age'science fiction - then I think you'll enjoy the great writing that gave the twilight zone it's unique appeal. The price, was also fantastic.
