Comment: This was the first time I heard Andrea sing popular selections. What a great performance. The background music, singers, & artists were great & didn't drown his voice out. I hope his next concert has a mixture of the same type of music. It was great & relaxing. He proved he can sing anything and changes the mood of the audience from song to song. Thank you Andrea Bocelli.

Comment: The setting is absolutely breathtaking. The music is supurb. The creative minds that put this video together should get an award! Andrea Bocelli and David Foster are masters of their respective crafts. The first time I watched this DVD, I actually cried! It is so beautifully moving. Having visited Lake Las Vegas a couple of years ago, this video holds a very special place in my heart. It brought back so many wonderful memories of our trip there. This is the most romantic concert I have ever seen. This is truly a remarkable work of art.

I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this DVD!

Summary: Great Bocelli!
Comment: This production is very good, almost as good as Vivere! You will love either performance. What is good about this one is that as cold as it was when he performed, it seemed to warm the audience. Of course, this is what Bocelli does best!

Summary: Andrea Bocelli - Under the Desert Sky
Comment: To be quite honest, I was a bit disappointed in this offering.
It is not of the same caliber as either of his Vivere album, or the Tuscan Skies album - maybe I prefer him singing in his native language, or else the addition of the songs in English don't translate as well to his vocal style.
Anyway, I register a 'four star' which is still pretty good.
The album is just NOT a 'five star' - in MY estimation.

If music be the food of love, then Under the Desert Sky is an Italian feast. Andrea Bocelli performs live at the Lake Las Vegas resort for this DVD and bonus CD, featuring some of the world's greatest love songs. In straying from the largely classical repertoire that helped shoot Bocelli to stardom, he is able to take more contemporary material and give it the sheen of timelessness. Most of the selections are in Italian, Spanish, or French--Romance languages, naturally. Highlights include the swoon-inducing "Amapole," the pitch-perfect "Canzoni Stonate," and even a reverent "Can't Help Falling in Love." Through it all, Bocelli's relaxed, self-effacing manner and confident delivery make for an intimate concert experience. Bocelli is also backed by a terrific group of talented musicians, including pianist and executive producer David Foster. A real show-stopper: Bocelli's duet with the Tony-winning Aida singer Heather Headley; the blending of their voices suggests the duets of Aaron Neville and Linda Ronstadt at their most sublime. There's only one real clunker: "Besame Mucho," which is so innately cheeseball that trying to deliver it sincerely only makes it more cheesy. Included is a CD with nine tracks, including a different version of "Can't Help Falling in Love," with a duet by American Idol's Katherine McPhee, and a soulful "Canzoni Stonate" with Stevie Wonder.
